The target of the Workshop is to bring together leading scientists from neurophysiology, applied mathematics, theoretical biology and engineering, working on different aspects of neuroscience and medicine. It is assumed to discuss and exchange methods and tools for the analysis of novel mathematical models of the neuronal activity in the brain. A key point of the meeting will be to illuminate new interdisciplinary approaches at the border of theory, practice and experiment in order to create a condition for a free exchange of ideas between theoreticians and applied researchers.
The main topics include but are not restricted to:
- model-based development of deep brain stimulation
- synchronization and desynchronization in coupled oscillators and neuronal networks
- synaptic plasticity and complex coupling configurations
- data analysis of neuronal activity in the brain
- algorithms of parallel computations of large neuronal networks
